Public Safety
Safety is my number one priority. Our neighborhoods must be safe places for children to play, families to walk, and seniors to live without fear. I have seen firsthand how drugs, fentanyl, gangs, and crime have eroded the close-knit communities I grew up in around Northgate and Green Lake.
Families should not have to worry about violence in parks or open drug use on streets. I will support law enforcement, push back against policies that weaken prosecution or tie officers’ hands, and reject approaches that enable disorder.
At the same time, I believe in practical compassion – helping those struggling with addiction get real treatment and a path to independence rather than simply managing the symptoms of homelessness with needles and encampments. We need balanced solutions that restore order, protect the vulnerable, and rebuild trust in our communities. Public safety is foundational; without it, nothing else – schools, businesses, or family life – thrives. I will fight for policies that prioritize enforcement, prevention, and results so LD 46 families can feel secure again.
