Education Choice and Parental Rights
Parents know their children best. I strongly support school choice and will work to ensure homeschooling families – who already pay taxes – receive equitable support and access to public resources. I homeschooled my seven children because I wanted them to receive an excellent education rooted in strong values and real-world preparation, not ideology.
That experience showed me the value of flexibility and parental involvement. Field trips, hands-on learning, and tailored instruction sparked curiosity and prepared my kids for life. Public schools should partner with families rather than compete with them.
We need to reduce bureaucracy in education, respect parental authority, and give all options – including homeschooling and charter alternatives – fair funding so every child can thrive. Education should focus on fundamentals, critical thinking, and opportunity, not social experiments.
As Senator, I will advocate for policies that empower parents and ensure our schools serve the next generation effectively.
