Fiscal Responsibility and Taxpayer Protection

Washington families and small businesses balance budgets every day – Olympia must do the same. Before considering any new taxes, we need full audits of spending, aggressive cuts to waste and bureaucracy, and real accountability for how every taxpayer dollar is used.

I saw excessive administration and inefficiency in the hospital system, where frontline nurses did the heavy lifting while layers of bureaucracy celebrated with big events.

As a homeowner and mother who managed finances while raising seven children (working and homeschooling at the same time), I understand living within means. I will oppose new income or gas taxes that hit working families hardest and fight against spending that enriches special interests instead of delivering services.

Government should have excess to help the truly needy rather than constantly coming back for more. Responsible budgeting protects property owners, keeps costs down, and allows us to focus resources on priorities like safety, education, and infrastructure. I will bring a homeowner’s and working mother’s perspective to demand responsible stewardship of public funds.
